a buddy and I were thinking of trading wheels. mine for his bbs. well we tried before but my wheels wouldnt fit over his brembo's by just a little bit. Is there anything we can do that's not too expensive so that mine will clear his brakes? Would spacers take care of that? Thanks.

Yeah, spacers will help. Depending on how much space you need, don't go over 5mm. If you need more, you'll have to look at spacers with longer studs. Sids downtown sells the small spacers. Summit (I think) sells the ones with longer studs. You are looking at $20 for 5mm spacers, or $100 for spacers with extra studs.

Wouldn't fit in which direction? Spacers keep the spokes from hitting the face of the calipers that face out the side of your car. They can't do much for not fitting in diameter. Well, they can if the wheel is internally tapered, but usually to push them out far enough so they clear by a minimum of 2mm or so, requires too mush offset change. Big spacers can cause big problems with handling, fender rub and tire wear.

Yea, the spokes were BARELY resting on the caliper. So we just need a little bit more room.

Remeber that adding a 5mm spacer is the same as taking your +48 offset rims down to a +43 offset and you've given up 5mm of lug stud threads. No biggie, but keep it in mind.

Summit has 3mm spacers. 5 is the absolute max you can do without longer studs.
