Unfortunately, that's how I feel.

But it's not W that I'm against... it's the corperate oil industry that pulls his strings that I'm bothered by. Ever since they failed to achieve their little reorganization of the middle east back in 91/92, they've been chomping at the bit to get "their guy" back in power. The 1st Bush was smart enough, or didn't have enough power on the Hill, to not go through with the take-over of Iraq.

But once W got into power, and the Republicans got control of the House, well, they've just gone off the deep-end. The current administration has next to zero grasp of foreign relations... they really are justifying the reputation that the US has of being an international bully. And the worst part of it is that they're using the terrorists attacks as a justification.

I don't know that Kerry or the Democrats will do any better, but I can't imagine they can do much worse. The Bush administration has proven to me over the last 4 years that they can't handle our business properly overseas and has gotten us into a world of shit in the Middle East. It's going to take generations to unbury us from the economic and reputation hole we've dug ourselves in the last four years, and I'm certainly not willing to vote for 4 more years of the same.

Say what you will about terrorism and Iraq, about how bad it was before Bush, or due to Clinton, but it's even worse because of the Bush administration.

I'm always torn about bringing up political shit. Since I don't take it all that seriously, and since I don't judge people based on their political affiliation, I forget that bringing it up can sir the pot and piss people off sometimes.

My bottom line really is: pay attention to the world yourself, use common sense, and cast your vote based on what you think is important. Things like party lines, and the like are ruining our country... I'd never vote for someone or something because "my party" says I should.

If you think critically about the election, and still cast your vote for Bush, I've got zero problem with you. That's how America is supposed to work. But if you believe all the "I'm so-and-so and I approved this message" propaganda ads and base your vote on them without thinking about it, then I'd rather you keep your opinion out of the ballot box. We've already got enough mindless people making decisions in this country.

My thoughts exactly. I'm no big cheerleader of Kerry, but I think the Bush administration has screwed up big enough in the last couple of years that they deserve to be fired. If Bush were CEO of a corporation instead of a government, he would have been shitcanned by the board of directors long ago.

There's my man...I've been a registered Libertarian for 7 years...Sometimes I find myself voting against someone, but a strong Libertarian presence in Nevada has made my vote count more and more...It's a tough position supporting a 3rd party, but I don;t consider it a waste like many people say.

The idea of "Self-Ownership" is what distinguishes us from both liberals and conservatives. Every political position that Libertarians take can be traced back to this simple idea. For example, Libertarians are opposed to "liberal" attempts to use the government to regulate people's buying practices, by imposing tariffs on certain goods & industries. We oppose this kind of regulation not because we think that all goods & industries are equally wonderful, but because we believe that people own themselves, and should be allowed to buy what they like, based on their own beliefs and values. If for some people that means buying fair-trade coffee at the local co-op grocery store, then that's great—just as long as they don't use the government's power to force other people to do the same.

During the last election, there were a bunch of overseas ballots from US service men/women that "got lost" and weren't counted. Republicans blamed Democratic workers because most of the lost votes were allegedly for Bush.

Also, since this election is going to be rediculously close, one side or the other is going to be pretty pissed off... like riot enducing pissed off. I'm just think that if I were out of the country during the election, I may not want to come back, and you and Matt are going to be out of the country come Nov. 2.
