That's not an R8... R8's have paddle shifters and F1 style instrumentation on the steering wheel. That looks more like either an older Prototype converted for hill climb or something more like a Radical.

Well either way that car is fast as shit! Like stupid fast. I thought the vid had been edited to make it look faster until the driver slowed down for a hairpin and the rocketed off again. But if it's not an R8 I'm curious as to what it is because that was ridiculous.

A $100,000 V8 Radical has more thrust to weight than the Audi R8. It's just not gonna last in a 24 hour race the way the *much* more expensive Audi can.
