Apparently they had to grow the rubber tree and manufacture the tire...took forever...didn't help that my credit card company thought somebody may have stole my card. I haven't been spending that much money.

Yep, I got an email from BofA as soon as I got back to work, they said the Tire rack transaction alerted a fraudulant purchase flag on my account, and they wanted to verify...Weird.

You guys must not spend enough on your credit cards. My bank doesn't bat an eye if its under $1500 for me.

No... I just wanted to stir up speculation... I ordered the Autopower Race 4 point roll bar. And don't worry JC, I'll put up pics when I get it!

OKay, so I guess you're supposed to put some miles on new tires before trying to race on them, thus, I sucked at Auto-x on saturday. After I knocked the "new" off my RE 01R's, I can say that they are indeed the best street tire I've driven on ever. I am very happy with their consistency and feedback. Carry on.

Looks like I will be looking to get my set shaved before when I mount them up.

Anyone know where to do that? And what depth I should go for?

Most recently, I think we discussed this in this thread... There are likely older ones as well...

4-5/32nds is typical... I wish I had done my 255s. I'm going to wear out the shoulders long before the center of the tread.
