From's Aaron's post on i-club...

Congratulations! You've just won the lottery! You've won as much money as you want, and now you fill out your garage. You have the house, you have the boat, all the toys. Now you have to get the cars. What would you get?

For fun -

For the daily driver -

For the husband/wife -

The showoff-mobile -

For Winter -

For fun - I'd keep my bugeye WRX, do an '06 interior conversion, and swing it back towards streetable.

For the weekend track car - Porsche 914, EG33 twin-turbo built motor, 6-speed Porsche tranny, widebody kit, with all the fixins.

For the daily driver - New BMW M5, bone stock.

For the husband/wife - FX45 with the appropriate bling.

The showoff-mobile - Aston Martin V12 Vanquish S, mildly modded.

For Winter - Legacy GT Wagon, w/ a JDM front-end conversion... damn that US bumper!

Do you really want a husband/wife that doesn't also want a sports car?

I feel like playing again, so I'll go with alternate answers.

For fun - Lotus Elise. With a Toyota motor swap and a GT28RS.

For the weekend track car - something that gets up the front straight at Thunder Hill about .5 seconds faster than a Mini Cooper S.

For the daily driver - 2004 WRX wagon, with 2005/6 STi conversion

For the husband/wife - waiting on a Subaru minivan. Close enough I guess.

The showoff-mobile - 22b. And an 850Ci for the people who don't go to Subaru club meets.

For Winter - a 6 pack of old Subarus I can bounce off of guardrails, curbs, SUVs, pedestrians, and snow donkeys and laugh about it.

And added categories:
nostalgia car - still a restored 240Z.

tow rig - eh, something with a diesel motor, 4wd, and big seats. (actually, that could be an Audi couldn't it? Hmm...

I can't pick one for each category.

For fun - FD RX7 with a built Vette plant and 6-speed or a Koenigsegg CCR.

For the weekend track car - Red M Coupe with an S54 and suspension work or a Noble M12 GTO.

For the daily driver - E39 M5 Touring, RS6 wagon, or a Subaru Legacy GT wagon with a built EZ30 and a GT35.

For the wife - Black Range Rover Sport on forged satin black 22's, or an SLK55 (hey, it's what she wants, right?).

(couldn't find black)

The showoff-mobile - Lincoln Continental 4-door 'vert, dark blue with cream interior and a satin billet wheel, on bags, or a 997 Turbo Cab (matter of time).

For Winter - 05/06 WRX STi with a GT30 and supporting mods, and blizzaks.

Presumably the wife category is for her daily driver. Porsches don't hold enough car seats or groceries.

You have more money than you need, and your expection of your wife is still to be a mini van driving chauffeur for your kids and food...

Those of us who don't sleep 30 feet from him were much less threatened by that bit.

Tyson why does your wife need 5 sets of BBS wheels for her Bimmer? Just tell her to Valet. Rich people don't parallel park.

20 inches.

But now that you mention it maybe I would buy five sets of BBS's. Teach her to change a tire.
