Just to point out a paragraph in the article:

"It added that 156 agents would be trained to drive the cars on the Bugatti racing circuit of Le Mans in west France."

Rumor was a while back that Australian cops were having a problem catching speeders 'cause they'd just drive away from the cop's cars. What were the speeders driving? Subaru WRX's. What did the cops buy to catch 'em? Subaru WRX's.

(I don't think this is actually an Australian cop car... they usually have blue and white checkers on the side)

Wow, that's pretty sweet...Now if only we could beat the Pugs and Citroen in Rally we'd be all set.

I don't know if that is a real cop car or not, but the colour scheme is (or was) accurate. The colours change every few years, I guess the police need to keep upgrading their image everytime they do something stupid

If I remember correctly, the Lambo is used only in extreme time sensitive emergencies.

EDIT: Just read the rest of the thread.

It's obvious that the Italian police cars are the best, but I still like the Japanese over anyone elses... although I have NEVER seen a police car that resembles ANY type of sports car in Japan.
