Anyone playing lately? I just started up again. The last time I played was about 8 months ago when I had a 10man lan party at my house, so needless to say im getting pwned.

I tried for a while when HL2 came out. I got absolutely raped, which I was expecting. But after 2 weeks of playing every day I was still getting raped, which I wasn't expecting.

Then I started telling people about it and was told about all the cheats that are out there now. It is as bad as it ever was, despite steam/punkbuster/whatever. I gave up.

I played regularly from ~1.0 up until the source version. I think I played source once or twice, but not too much after that.

Yeah a ton of people still play, and yes you do have to be good at it for it to be fun.

I still play on occasions but I've been in to Battlefield 2 lately. It's WAY better than CS.

BF2 is pretty good, I just don't like the large patches. Although, I just picked up a copy of BF2142. Only played it single player version so far as I don't have an internet connection for my personal pc.

My PC runs BF2142 a lot smoother then BF2 for some reason.

I too tried to play CS:Source when HL2 came out. But I hated getting pwned all the time. I played through like two maps and never scored more then 2 or 3 killes to like 50 - 60 deaths. So I stopped playing it.

I played CS back in the day... like '99. I was in a pretty decent clan and everything... played some regular matches, did really well, had a *ton* of fun, etc. It was a great time. But I sorta lost interest when the cheating started getting bad in '00/'01, and I've never even tried out CS:Source.

source is awesome, there is rare cheating on the steam network. most every server is secured and I always have fun when i play. Different strokes for different folks though.
