Any REI members or other Northstar ticket deals? - Subaru Enthusiasts Car Club of the Sierras

May go hit Northstar this week, and being a cheap bastard do not want to pay full price.

REI has discount tickets, but spending $20 to join a place I don't shop at to save $17 or so doesn't make sense.

Done some searching, and other deals don't appear to be valid this week of course. Anybody know of any, or an REI member?

if am not mistaken the new gas station by northstar will give you 50% off on tickets when you buy gas there. somebody told me that but i guess you got to ask the clerk about it. and is not the actual northstar gas station but the one closer to truckee

Shell gas stations are offering buy one get one free vouchers when you purchase 10 gallons or more. Works at Northstar, Sierra and supposedly 60 other resorts around the country.

Print out your receipt, and take it inside to the cashier for the voucher.

I am guessing those are the same deal, but it is just me. They all have season passes.

I did the Shell buy one get one deal when I went to Sierra at Tahoe with Alex a couple weeks ago. It wasn't hard to find someone to buy a half off ticket.

I'm an REI member. It's totally worth the membership and paying their high prices considering everything has a lifetime no questions asked warranty...no receipt required. The dividends paid mean that it pays for itself if you buy a bunch of stuff.
