Default WTB: running 2.2 non turbo

I am in need of a running 2.2 engine that is in good working order. Just need the block and heads.
I can re use my manifold, wiring, etc. let me know if someone has one for a
Decent price. Need this sooner rather than later!

If it comes down to it i have a 1.8 you could use (for free) its very worn out though...

well the 1.8 is super reliable. but tired (down on compression) and it will suck big time going from a 2.2 to a 1.8. just figured i'd toss the offer out in case its like your only car and you won't be able to get to work or something. if your car still moves on its own, I'd avoid the 1.8

Yes, I'll fix it for you. Again.

Which years' engine do you need? There were some changes in 2.2 manifolds that make some heads not work with some manifolds. I've got some SOHC heads from a '99 2.2 that don't work with the manifolds from the earlier years, for instance. The blocks should all interchange, though.

I think it's as simple as Phase I heads not fitting Phase II manifolds, and vice versa. Otherwise it works.

The car is a 1999 outback sport.. So later 2.2 I'd say.
