Default your gonna' have to face it your addicted to BOOST!!!

sometimes i think boost is an addiction...one is always trying to get more, the longer you have it, you seem to get used to it and need a bigger dose. right now im cold turkey and this grand am isnt cutting it..hehe. but at least when i get my car back it'll be a fresh dose of pure RS-T.

Or even something with 8 cylinders!

There's nothing like the feeling of torque, boys.

my girl is looking at jetta's and ive been pitching the vr6 to her for a while.
as for v-8 power im helping restore my buddy joe's american muscle. he just recently wrecked his 65 nova after we spent so much time building it, motor and tranny are good so now were are finishing up with the upper end of the motor...450 hp!!....but its still not the same as my RS-T..

Yeah I talked to joe last thursday and he was telling me about the nova. Sounds like a pretty sick car. The VR6 is a great ride, sure there are a lot more mods for 1.8t's but just having a VR6 for bragging rights is awesome.

I'm also in the "cold turkey" club. I blew up my RS-T(due to the addiction) and I'm now building a STi block.

what kind of settup were you using at the time? stock internals? im assuming you didnt have enough fuel to compensate for +10psi

Yeah, stock internals. I was running a AFPR, and a RRFPR. And just the stock ECU. I had a J&S safegaurd, but it didn't do jack! I think the situation was more than the J&S could handle. I didn't have a boost controller. I was only using the external wastegate for boost control.
So I highly recomend a EBC to anyone doing a RS-T! I think it would have saved my motor.

hmm for it to just spike up like that randomly..maybe the wastegate line was rubbing on something and wore a puncture in it. im constanly watching my boost and air/fuel. every once in a while ill have to tweek with the timing but that is cake. i have a turbo xs boost controller and i love it.

It got real cold, real fast one week and the boost started to slowly creep up the colder it got. Then Boom!!! I still don't quite understand what happened.
